Really bad PR

DETROIT (AP) -- Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard had his cell phone stolen by pickpockets while in Detroit for the NCAA Final Four.
The mayor's office says that Ballard was walking back to his hotel Saturday night when two or three men surrounded him as he stopped to help a man who was on the ground acting as if he was having a seizure. One of the men then reached into Ballard's pocket, stole his cell phone and they all fled.
His spokesman says the 54-year-old Ballard was not traveling with any security. He was at the Final Four because Indianapolis is the host city for the event next year.
A Detroit police spokesman says it doesn't appear the men were part of a group believed to be in the city to prey on Final Four fans.

Guuuuuhhh! Really? Could the City of Detroit have a worse reputation? Now its citizens are *stealing* from the mayors of other (cleaner) cities. Granted, the thieves didn't KNOW Ballard is the Mayor of Indianapolis, but they should always stop and ask themselves one important question before they do anything illegal. And that question is: Will this help the city that I live in? If the answer is "no" then go home, sit down on your sofa, and watch a non-violent television show.
