TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) -- A hungry, neglected dog needs a home after being discovered in a plastics recycling bin in Traverse City. The dog was found Wednesday night in the container at United Waste.
WPBN-WTOM-TV reports he was taken to a local veterinary hospital for treatment.
Doctors say the dog is 5 to 6 years old but apparently never has received proper care. He's underweight, has bad teeth, hasn't been neutered and has frostbitten ears.
Even so, they say he has a good disposition and is calm. After about six weeks of treatment, they say he should make a good pet.
This story is a good example of how dogs are nicer than humans. Put a human in a dumpster for the majority of his life and he'll be all "life's not fair, wah wah wah, pay for my college tuition." A dog on the other hand, not a big deal.
